Technical Service Representative
Utter Morris Insurance Brokers is a family run insurance brokerage in Burlington, ON. We have been in
business since 1927 and we provide property and casualty insurance to over 10,000 clients in Burlington
and the surrounding areas.
We take our work seriously, however we do take time out to celebrate our successes as well. We offer
numerous team-building events throughout the year and we celebrate everyone’s birthday and
anniversary. We have a busy social committee that plans fun activities for us throughout the year.
We provide free parking, 9-5 Monday to Friday workweek. We have some flexibility in hours and offer
the possibility to work some of the time; once the candidate is adequately trained. We also offer a very
competitive wage with the possibility of earning commission.
The successful candidate may also have the opportunity to take the two-week RIBO course.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
– Inputting business into various company portals
– Back up to reception
– Updating claims information on files
– Invoicing and following up for payments from the client
– Issuing certificates of insurance
– Issuing liability slips
– Speaking to underwriters and getting terms of renewal
– Contacting clients to update their files
– Working on special projects from the manager or team lead
– Sending letters to clients requesting information
– Checking other teams mailbox and voicemail when they are away

Personal Lines- Customer Service Representative

We are currently looking for a full time account manager for our personal lines department. As
part of our team you will work with our clients performing as a trusted advisor and advocate by
handling renewals, assessing risk exposures, providing recommendations for coverage, offering
claims advice, recognizing, pursing and capturing new business wins from many sources
including internal referrals, cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
Qualifications:
– Effective Team player with a strong work ethic
– Dedicated client focus and superior client service skills
– Superior verbal and written communication skills
– Accurate Risk Selection and successful execution of “Front Line” underwriting
– RIBO or OTL license
– CIP or CAIB designation is an asset
– Previous experience working in a brokerage in a personal lines capacity
